I’m a physical therapist of 20+ years, an immigrant, a wife, a breadwinner, and a fur mom to Pepito. 🐾
I love my healthcare career, and I’m very grateful for what it has given me. But in 2020, when my workplace temporarily closed, I had a realization I couldn’t ignore.
What if one day I can’t work the way I do now?
So much depended on one paycheck — our household, family back home, savings, travel, and our future.
I wasn’t looking to leave healthcare. I just wanted another option.
I wanted to keep helping my family, spend more time with my aging parents, travel with my husband, and prepare better for our golden years.
So, I decided to learn something new. I wasn’t techy. I wasn’t a marketer. I didn’t know how to build something online. But I started.
Little by little, I learned new skills and began building something alongside the career I already love.
Today, I’m still a physical therapist. But now, I also feel better knowing I’m preparing another option for our future.
A Plan B doesn’t mean Plan A failed. Sometimes it just means giving yourself more choices later.
